From Izmir to the World: HATSAN’s Journey
HATSAN was founded in Izmir in 1976.
We began our manufacturing journey with break-barrel air rifles. Today, by combining our traditional manufacturing philosophy with advanced engineering capabilities, we offer a wide range of products—from break-barrel air rifles to advanced PCP platforms, and from semi-automatic and pump-action firearms to modern rifled hunting rifles.
What began as a family-run business has evolved over time into one of the world’s most respected manufacturers in the airgun and firearms industry. Combining a vertically integrated manufacturing structure built on half a century of in-house production with engineering expertise, advanced manufacturing technologies, and an uncompromising commitment to quality, we produce products trusted in more than 100 countries around the world.
Today, with the third generation continuing to uphold the same vision, HATSAN remains committed to the values it has upheld since its founding while continuing to grow: independent production capabilities, innovation, and durability.
Independent Manufacturing Capability
True manufacturing capability stems from independence.
At HATSAN, all stages of production are carried out in-house. From barrel manufacturing to precision metalworking, from woodworking to coating technologies, and from precision injection systems to assembly and testing processes, our entire production infrastructure has been designed to ensure full control over quality, durability, and performance.
HATSAN continues its operations with four factories dedicated to different manufacturing disciplines, covering 45,000 m² of indoor production space built on a 60,000 m² site, employing more than 700 people and utilizing modern manufacturing technologies to maintain high standards of efficiency and quality.
Our facility houses over 350 advanced technology CNC machines, robotic systems, woodworking machines, coating facilities, a plastic parts production center, a heat treatment center, and a cutting tool production center.
Because true quality requires mastery of every detail of production.

In the firearms category, we produce over 80 models of semi-automatic and pump-action shotguns. In addition, HATSAN manufactures rifles in 7 different calibers, including .308 Win, .30-06 Sprg, .300 Win Mag, .223 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7×57 Mauser, and .22 LR.
